An experimental expression of modified modern contemporary, improv, and flow state. I selected two songs that felt they had story tied to my association of how my roots have grown and found movement patterns to move the views to feel something. I wanted to use the entirety of the room, experiment with the dynamicness of the cement floor and wide open space and used momentum, and internalization to push-pull-fake throughout space. In motion, I felt the polarities of lightness + density that my body holds - and felt wordless sentences lubricating my limbs.

Bound to find Free was a 3 part performance displaying a range of modalities tying intimacy, movement, emotion, and connection to embodied artistic expression. This 1 day showcase guided attendees inward, intentionally provoking self exploration of one’s own internal landscape.
euni utilized the space to install a living backdrop incorporating fabrics + living and decaying plant life in creative collaboration with fellow artists. This half day immersive experience included mini 1:1 photo sessions for dancers of the festival, a 90 minute guided embodiment workshop, Beyond the Body, and a closing performance, Bound to Find Free, staring euni. She utilized the space, lighting, spoken word + poetry, and music to pull people deeply into the exploration of emotions including liberation, grief, love, loss, passion, fear, rage, and connection. An immersive guide workshop for intentional intimate connection through movement, rope, and dance. This workshop guided guests through consent, self agency, attunement with one’s body-mind-connectivity, non-verbal expression, trust, creativity, surrender, power exchange, and collaborative flow. Through this workshop, individuals, couples, and movement partners learned new ways to design a story using the language of the body spoken through dance, connection, and control. Through this workshop - and others like it - I have been able to help people regain trust after big traumas, deepen their connections with their bodies, explore new ways to play with their partners, and given inspiration to create other connective, interactive experiences to share with community, friends, and on stages.
